Porto Cristo (“Christushafen” or Port de Manacor) has an excellent infrastructure: private clinic, marina, restaurants, shops, ferry connections, … Porto Cristo has a remarkable old town with narrow streets and numerous historic buildings. The Coves del Drac (“dragon caves” – stalactite caves) bring tourists from all over Mallorca to Porto Cristo.
In addition to the city beach of Porto Cristo, there are numerous bathing bays and beaches in the immediate vicinity. Cala Romàntica, Cala Mendia, Cala Anguila are only 500 m away from the Mallorca design villa. Turquoise blue water, wonderful sand and a gentle swell make bathing and playing a pure pleasure.
The next interesting places to the south are Porto Colom with its natural harbor and Cala d’Or, which was planned in 1932 by the Ibizan artist Josep Costa Ferrer. To the north you will pass Cala Millor, the most important tourist place on the east coast. Trips to Costa des los Pinos, Canyamel, Cala Ratjada and Arta are extremely worthwhile.
